Definition of social cognition

關於社會認知的定義，我決定採用2006年美國NIMH Workshop所賦予的定義(Green et al., 2008)，我的解讀如下：
「社會認知是在心理層面處理社會互動的過程，也就是對他人的意念/態度/行為的接收、解釋、產生反應，意即人們對於他人產生想法。」

原文：mental operations that underlie social interactions, including perceiving, interpreting, and generating responses to the intentions, dispositions, and behaviors of others. In humans, social cognition means people thinking and forming impressions about people.



大致上包含5個範疇
(1) Theory of mind：解釋他人意圖、態度、信念的能力
(2) Social perception：辨認社會角色、社會規範、社會情境的能力
(3) Social knowledge：覺察社會情境的角色、規範、目標，引導社會互動。
(4) Attribution bias (attribution style)：人們如何解釋造成正面或負面的事件的原因，包含internal attributions(認為自己是原因)和external personal attributions(認為他人是原因)
(5) Emotional processing：接收並使用情徐，包含辨認情緒、促進情緒、了解情緒、管理情緒。
